We hold on to memories that we shouldn’t be allowed to. The memories that are dear to our hearts, the ones that make us smile, tend to be ones that can eventually bring a tear to our eyes. Good memories are good, until they become painful. This series of paintings are about holding onto thing we should be able to hold on to. Each balloon is something that we can’t let go of, even though it was a good memory at some point.
